NanoSTONE, an exclusive material of the latest generation, has been designed with the aim of providing a sink with very high mechanical and aesthetic performance, created for modern and contemporary environments. The new material is composed of pure acrylic resin and a mix of mineral fillers, designed to bind together developing a 3D network of "hydrogen bonds", through a chemical process made possible by the precise geometry of the minerals involved:
- mineral fillers with lamellar particles;
- mineral fillers with acicular (needle-shaped) particles;
- mixture of various minerals and nanometric titanium dioxide, able to fit into the 3D network created by the first two.
The molecular lattice created strengthens the internal structure of the sink, making it more resistant to impact and thermal shock. The new composite material has a stronger structure and a more pleasant feel. Like the other Plados materials, nanoSTONE is added with Titanium dioxide particles that, through the process of photocatalysis, reduce the pollutants present in the air in the kitchen, make the sink antibacterial and easier to clean.
