WHAT IS ARIAPURA?

HOW?

Titanium dioxide, in the presence of natural or artificial light, is "activated" by triggering a phenomenon called photocatalysis that can transform pollutants in the environment into harmless mineral salts.
Titanium dioxide nanoparticles are able to exploit light to cause chemical reactions in other nearby molecules (photocatalysis): when light hits the titanium dioxide particle, it causes the formation of "hydroxyl radicals" on its surface. The radicals have a very strong oxidizing power. This means that bacteria, viruses, fungi and polluting molecules, coming into contact with the radicals, begin to oxidize and degrade into harmless mineral salts. It is also important to know that radicals have a very short half-life (about 10-9 seconds) and therefore do not represent a danger to humans.

ACTION ANTIBACTERIAL

ARIAPURA reduces this risk, giving the whole family more security. The antibacterial action exerted by ARIAPURA also leads to a significant reduction in odours on sink itself, in the under-sink environment, where the organic waste bin is often stored, and in the surrounding air making the kitchen environment fresher and healthier. The antibacterial action inhibits the development of bacteria keeping, together with normal cleaning and hygiene practices, the sink fresher and cleaner between uses. ACTION AUTOPULENT

ARIAPURA creates a thin film of water over the entire surface of the sink. Drops of water that come into contact with the sink tend to flatten and slip away more easily, dragging away dirt and debris that cannot settle.

The titanium dioxide nanoparticles in the material attract water molecules, forming a thin, invisible film over the entire surface of the sink. In this way the water drops that come into contact with the sink surface tend to flatten and slip away more easily, eliminating the deposit of residues on the surface. The sink, coming into contact with food that ends up on the table, may retain dirt. Plados-Telma sinks, the only ones equipped with ARIAPURA technology, are more resistant to dirt and stains, making them easier to clean. An ARIAPURA sink is dirt repellent. Unsightly limescale deposits no longer form on surfaces. The sink is thus easier to clean, which reduces the use of detergents and makes the sink eco-friendly. As in other cases, the self-cleaning action is an effect of the titanium dioxide nanoparticles incorporated in the entire mass of sink, which is why it does not reduce its effectiveness with subsequent washing, nor does it wear out over time.
